Black Metal
Atmospheric black metal from Russia. Track 1 and 2 are something else. The riff in track 2 gives me the image of someone 'crawling atop a mountain'. Also every time that accordion hits I start grinning, it is a wonderful addition. Russian lyrics is the cherry on top. An article in Norwegian about the basement of the Oslo record store where the history of black metal began

Early US-black metal band, whose sound and style serve(d) as a blueprint for many modern bands, not exclusively in the US. Especially Ultha from Germany seem to draw their inspiration from them.
Top shelf stuff...
What an amazing find this was. Their current album “Tyrannical Bloodlust” is also a banger, but “Upon the Wings of the Black Eagle” is currently stuck on repeat.

German Black Metal featuring the vocalist of Chaos Invocation and Porta Nigra.
From the upcoming split with Ofermod and Black Altar.
DSBM has always been a bit hit-or-miss for me, but None is one of those bands I can listen to on repeat and never get tired of. I'm really looking forward to their new album coming out on the 30th.
I went to see the Brazilian black metal legends Mystifier play Bristol (UK) last night, and I have to say they were fucking awesome. The band were manning the merch stand so I got to chat with them whilst buying a t-shirt. Support came from local bands Blasfeme and Cryptworm, who both killed it.
I fuckin' love the riffs on this song (and album) soo much. It's haunting, shrill, rhythmic, and pungent; like pissed off metal murder bees are coming for your soul the whole way through.
