Emulation

Dolphin Emulator's recent pre-emptive removal from Steam got everyone a bit worried about its future. The speculation was that they were shipping some proprietary Wii keys which they technically shouldn't be. Was this confirmed as the reason? Are they going to remove them? Is the future of the project still safe?
