Fantasy Tabletop Wargaming

A WIP of my new flagbearer. The eagle needs some work but otherwise i am pretty happy with it.

Some heavily armored men at arms/knights for my human WoE army.

I am thinking about expanding my RPG fantasy setting into running wargames in it as well. What I am looking for is a game in which several players play the commanders of different units in the same army, each commanding hundreds or a few thousand soldiers. I want to start with a fairly mundane baseline of medieval combat and then perhaps later gradually add small numbers of special units with unique magic abilities to it. But it should work without any magic elements as well. I've started looking at DBA as a rules system, as it is looking relatively compact and simple to play. Would that be a decent pick for someone completely new and running a campaign for others, or are there other games that might be better recommendations for that purpose?

A 3D printed Vampire (Its a Skeleton originally, but i use him as a Vampire, lol) that will become a champion of my undead force. I orignally wanted to give him steel coloured armour, but i thought a vain bloodsucker could use a more colourful variant. The armor itself was painted with a mix of violet and silver and some of the details, like the rose petal shaped fibula were done with a bit of red, white, bright skin colour and the aforementioned metallic violet.

Exactly what it say in the title. These are Warlord Landsknechte, mixed with a few Perry helmets to make them a bit diverse. I am unhappy about the priming which messed up, but i think i can live with it.

I'm going to be putting him to use as an attack Squig in 40k, but originally he was designed to get his bum poked by some Night Goblins.

I made some archer stakes out of a 5mm pine staff and carved them with an exacto knife. They are looking quite good and they are cheap too, so i will probably make some more.

I did some banners, headbands and sashes to add some colour and life to my human force.

My finished stone troll for Warlords of Erehwon and Dragon Rampant.

A WIP of my "Reichsritter".

Heavily armoured Reichsritter made by Perry for my Custom WoE/DR army lists. The army itself is based on the late medieval/early modern HRE and contains a German folklore and mythological touch. The Perry Men at Arms set is really great to work with, allows extreme customization (And gives a lot of bits to work with the other sets) and i can only recommend it.

My nearly finished Reaper Bones Cave Troll. I will use him as a neutral monster or ally for Warlords of Erehwon or Dragon Rampant.

I started to make modular pieces for a city/castle wall from styrofoam bricks. So far im really happy about the looks and they are extremely cheap too (ca. 3 Euro material costs for a wall segment)

A comparison of my new human infantry and my Giant Skeleton.

Archers and Soldiers armed with pole-arms i painted recently. They will form the core of my late-medieval/renaissance HRE inspired human army.

3d printed Green Knight mini for an arthurian themed Warlords of Erehwon warband. Sill needs some more details and highlights, but overall i am very happy with the paintjob.

Finished the bases of my undead cavalry. The painting needs a bit of improvement, but i like them so far.

I finally finished my bat base with a lot of 3d printed boney bits. I think it is looking pretty great and i can finally seal it.

Exactly what the title says. I bought some new basing bits on Etsy and added them to the base of the skelly giant.

A sacrificial altar i made out of FIMO.

Reaper Bones Ghouls, WIP, still need to work on the bases.

WIP Mantic Zombies, with added bits for the bases.

Tomb terrain piece made by Reaper. Was a fun build, especially the painting of the patina for the bronze parts. I added a bit of ivy, which i have not entirely finished since i photographed it though.

Since the skeleton flag-carrier in the mantic skeleton box lacks a flag, i sculpted a ripped, old banner from greenstuff. I also added a little brazier with "magical" fire on top, to make the battle standard more unique.

This is a cape i sculpted from green stuff for my undead knight. Was a fun little excercise to sculpt all those holes, tears and folds.

A WIP Graveyard Golem from the Reaper Bones miniature line. I used moss and grass tufts to make it look more weathered. I am still unhappy with the "Wings" and will probably change them to copper with green patina, since it fits the colour scheme a bit better.

A resin printed giant bat that i got on Etsy. I added some resin skulls and grave stones made from FIMO to the base. I think i will add some stones and maybe a bit of blood too.

A WIP Bone Giant made by Reaper. The base is still unfinished, but he will soon join the ranks of my undead forces.

Another piece made from leftovers. This was inspired by megalith stone circles and made for historical and fantasy wargaming.

I made a cave out of some leftover styrofaom and cheap craft paints for wargaming. Incredibly cheap and easy to make.

I am currently working on several custom army lists for **Warlords of Erehwon**, based on real history, folklore and fantasy. As soon as they finish i will upload them one by one. If you have custom lists yourself i would gladly see what you did and encourage you to post them in this community!
