No wonder it was overheating, the radiator couldn't cough out this furball.

This laptop was given to me for data recovery by a client, on condition that I don't comment on it's state.

So I won't 😄. I will however add that the white substance inside and outside is laundry detergent that it had been soaking in for months. Miraculously the SSD was the only uncorroded and salvageable part. I was able to extract the client's kids' minecraft worlds. ![1000014362](https://lemm.ee/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Flemmy.world%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2Fb5f411b0-6124-4bf0-8897-22c65d7d6105.jpeg) ![1000014365](https://lemm.ee/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Flemmy.world%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2Fcd5eceae-fc9a-4468-982c-26ea08920d50.jpeg) ![1000014364](https://lemm.ee/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Flemmy.world%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2F92274e2a-23f4-4a71-b50a-c970985d094d.jpeg) ![1000014366](https://lemm.ee/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Flemmy.world%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2F32eda79f-d870-4ec9-8e2b-ed882bb14b23.jpeg) ![1000014368](https://lemm.ee/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Flemmy.world%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2F3b7f6678-0982-4466-85ad-93361e007a1c.jpeg) ![1000014367](https://lemm.ee/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Flemmy.world%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2F094f151a-81b3-4057-b2f2-29fdcc6682d3.jpeg)

Amazingly ghetto power port/bottom case repair using a ziptie and some epoxy I found on a client's laptop. It holds very well!

I... found a bug in my system.
https://feddit.de/pictrs/image/5674c4c7-5590-4265-9be1-67266d37854e.jpeg

Yesterday, a friend of mine looked through the glass panel in my PC, laughing out loud. He went 'lol, you even have a fake bug in there'. Turns out a moth had slipped through a ventilation hole somehow and was fried on the mainboard. So far it looks like nothing shorted, let's hope it stays this way.
