I want to take better care of my house plants. I got this plant recently, does anyone have tips?

The label says "Schefflera".

• 4/5 for sunlight
• 2.5/5 for water
• 5-25 for temperature
• Moderate for fertilizer

After I brought it home, I see that some of the leaves are turning dark and falling off. I don't know why.
