Not exactly what you're looking for but in Stargate SG1 they accidentally travel back in time due to some very specific circumstances involving wormhole travel and a solar flare. They try to replicate it to go back to their own time but end up overshooting due to their timing being slightly off. Since this is TV they luckily overshoot far enough that the tech exists to send them back to their original time.

Tangentially related but it just reminds me of a cookbook that my friend's brother had, called something like A Man's Can Plan, that consisted solely of recipes that involved opening 1-3 cans and following the directions. I can't remember if it was literally a branded cookbook or if someone figured men needed a recipe to tell them to read the side of a can.

It's a cheap easy answer but fast food slop. Just a bunch of sugar, salt, and grease moulded together in a grotesque parody of food that tricks your brain into thinking you like it. It's one even slightly redeeming feature was it's low cost, and it doesn't even have that anymore

Lokomotiv soundly beat Kunlun Red Star 5-1, they were like a runaway freight train scoring twice in the first, twice more in the second, and a final goal in the third! Red Star managed a goal towards the end of the second but they just weren't able to compete with the momentum Lokomotiv had!

I open up my textbook to read chapter one and what do I find? Is this the great replacement theory within the first 10 pages? Sure looks like it!   Also bonus advocating for countering "radical islamist groups" by "military and ideological means" I haven't gotten a good feel for this prof but we are not off to a good start Edit: Looks like I pirated the wrong text or something, I found the one my prof wants us to use and it's *very* different. Not sure why the two editions are so dramatically different but I'm still keeping an eye out for any fash shit

 I'm just looking to level up my bean game beyond just frying up some onion, garlic, maybe some other veggies, tossing the beans in and cooking them. Vegan recipes are preferred since I'm trying to reduce the amount of animal products I'm eating but any and all tasty bean recipes are welcome! 
Title says it all, I have a friend willing to go on runs with me and get into a habit of being more active! It was a mix of running & walking today but I think I did pretty good for being a couch potato!
Pretty boring tbh. In typical American fashion it's not enough to be a story about surviving this force of nature and working around it because it ends with them "taming" a tornado by shooting rockets into at and using super absorbent materials to somehow dissipate it. There was also a side story about a land developer using storm chasers to buy up properties that have been hit by tornadoes, but it seemed weirdly muted and cut down, like it was edited out or something. You get a couple scenes of one of the storm chasers talking about making offers on property and one of the main character searching the land developer online but nothing really comes of it and they don't mention it at all after the climax. There was the kernel of an interesting story if they had maybe delved into this capitalist taking advantage of natural disasters in order to monopolize all the land in tornado alley but they obviously didn't go that route. All-in-all there was very little tension, even when there was a massive twister coming at them the main characters could somehow always ride it out in their modified product placement-mobile I was also annoyed at the complete inconsistency regarding what would be thrown by a tornado and what can resist it. The same tornado dragged a streetcar across town and threw a pump jack into a water tower, but the product placement pickup truck with trailer somehow managed to resist being almost at the heart of the tornado without being catapulted hundreds of feet into the air.
By adding up all the posts in the News com and comparing them to the Trans mega I decree that the news posters are more online than the trans posters and therefore have won the posting Olympics. No I will not elaborate or show my findings thank you

Dunno if this is off topic, mods feel free to delete if it is, but I picked up a laptop that's a couple years old that needs a fan replacement. I've done a little googling but it's not clear which part(s) I need, where I could buy it, and if it would even be cost-effective to replace anyway. I can post pics/more info in a couple hours, but in the meantime could anyone point me in the right direction where I can buy laptop fans or a guide on figuring out which fan I would need? Late night, slept in, etc Feeling better, though with march and two death anniversaries coming up that will most likely change. Still sticking to the exercising though, it helps me clear my head an refocus things. Back to 30 minutes at 22ish strokes/min, otherwise that's all I have to report. I didn't do any rowing yesterday because grief and depression are real bastards. The last few days have been rough, though I got in 20 minutes of rowing today.
