This campaign seems to be sheer bull-headed prudery, using the perverse assumption that sex between a human and an animal hurts the animal. That’s true for some ways of having sex, and false for others.

Stallman remarked most recently on the subject of pornography featuring humans and animals in 2018:

I can’t imagine a possible reason to punish people for this. The article does not report that the animals were harmed, or that they objected to the experience, or that they thought of it as sexual. The law does not consider these questions pertinent.
What is, however, clear is that prohibiting the possession of copies of some image or text — no matter what that image or text may be — threatens human rights. It creates excuses to search through people’s possessions and files. It creates ways to make people vulnerable to criminal charges without their cooperation or even their knowledge. All such laws must be repealed.

im a bit of a bird nerd here, and while they do put pack a lot in, its not really fat as you and i would think of it. 90% of what you see is just floof to keep warm.
my b&g macaw will put on a little weight in fall even tho hes a tropical chicken. altho admitly that could just be me feeding him differently/different times, cause of the lack of light through the winter.

ok, im not hatin on the steam deck. ive never even seen one in person so im bias for sure. however, what exactly is the appeal of it? I PC game exclusively and have 3 26" curved monitors at 5760x1080, so having a unit that is smaller than my keyboard seems counterintuitive to me. again, im not tryin to come off as a jerk or 'pc master' kinda thing. I'm honestly wondering what the appeal is, am i just spoiled?

im a big bird nerd, and i have seen first hand the decline of birds on the prairies. its really sad, i only see a quarter of the migrating birds now too. humans are the very worst thing to happen to this planet

Yeah, so my life is still a pile of crap, nothing is really working out, however I miss Lemmy. I'll do my best to keep up on reports and such. This really did not need a post, but I figured I should probably let folks know. What did I miss? Anything good?
So yeah, my life is a pile of, well you can guess. Its not that the job is hard, nor is it overwhelming for me, however my life is crap and my mental state is very dark, so I do not believe I can mod this community the way it should be run. Again, there is not a lot of work to do, and the admin team seems to be on top of it much more then I am, so I think we should bring one other person into the team, then I can leave without feeling like I'm abandoning the community. So my idea is to take some names of folks who are willing to mod, and then I put it to a vote, the top one or two get the job

Not an answer to your question , but:
What if only one person is being simulated in full, and everyone else is just simulated for the moment they interact with that original sim? That would mean only one of us on this thread is the OG sim, and the rest of us only exist because we are/were going to interact here, and now.

id suggest finding a style you like online, print off a few pages of text thats fairly large. then trace the original to train your hand where and how to move. then practice without tracing.
No clue if it would actually work, but thats what i did when i got into calligraphy

I have very mixed feelings about the bike tbh. Its the fastest bike ive ever owned bar none. It handles great at high speed, as it should since it was made for it. However after an hour or two, im super sore having to hold my head up like that while laying on the tank. I'm more built to lean back and cruse but got this bike for a screaming deal that i couldnt refuse. But damn is it fun, never had a bike that wants to lift the front wheel going into 3rd gear at 100+kph before.

I'm in my 40s and just got my first sport bike, been riding dirt bikes before I was 10 and street bikes by 14. I've always liked cruisers and choppers, never had a crotch rocket style. After a month of having a cbr600f2, I'm convince there is a correlation with how kids slept as as babies and what bikes they like to ride (if at all) Babies who slept on their backs better, like cruisers, babies who preferred to sleep on their bellies, like sport bikes!
Yeah, i cannot believe im actually saying this where it can be archived and thrown in my face at a later time, but damn. Thank you bethesda for FINALLY baking ultrawide into the game, now I dont need janky mods to make things work and look proper anymore! Dont get me wrong, the folks who made the mods I was using did a 1000x better job than I could have ever done, but im glad bethesda actually did it, seems to work great so far. Wonder if I can get my orginal save back up and running again.
Finally done the move, still setting up but at least I'm back online! Looks like shit kinda hit the fan a few times while I was gone, did y'all really miss me that much? I wont be online as often for a week or two still, but soon enough!
As most of you might remember, I had asked a little while ago how to go about picking a new mod (or two) to help out. First off, there is little to no work actually involved other than checking in, last report was 9 days ago, and when things like the bots who were mass posting happen, the admin are on top of that real fast and it was done and over with by the time I logged in again. I'm not asking because the workload is requiring it, no, its more that I was wanting at least one more person. This way a community this size (i have no idea if ours is considered large or active tbh) can have more than one active mod. Much less chance of perceived bias here, now there has been no mention of it to me but I don't want it to get that far even. I'm looking for one or two more folks to help out around here. This job is paid with bits and bytes sent to your pc or phone while your on this site, so do with them bytes and bits as you see fit, in accordance with all laws mind you. I'm more than willing to send you a digital cookie 🍪 once a month if that helps out. I'm not looking to pass the torch and split, like our last overlord, however if something would happen to me or my internet for a long spell, only the admin could pass off the mod to someone else. Anyone up for the job?
Not like there is a lot of work, or reports. You are all a good bunch, plus the admin team seems to get to most of the reports before I do, making me more or less useless! So I'm thinking of bringing on someone else, this way I cant be bias, well less chance anyways, and the guy who got me to mod seems to have gone away, never to be found again. Hope hes safe! But yeah, I think one person being a mod with a community this large is not right. How do you all want me to pick the next ~~superhero~~ *mod* here? Come across a few different aspect ratios, however 5760x1080 seems to be for rare idiots like me with 3-27" curved. My current setup is not ideal, but modding my desk today so im not so close. Overkill? Oh yeah, but I do enjoy it!

So this save file is super corrupt, some of the mods I have used over the years have really screwed it up. Updated to SS2 so this save is extra screwed. Please excuse the audio, the mic I have is a cheap amazon one, but at least it works. I have never wanted to be a youtuber, but I do enjoy sharing some of the things I have done in games. Even when I stream, people watching makes me nervous for some reason, but I still like doing it every now and again. No idea why...but I do. Anyways, enjoy the many hours I put into building this, it took a lot to get the way it is now. Let me know what you think of that one room...you'll know what I mean when you see it! I have a wack of content I'm willing to post here, I assume youtube links are ok? I can upload pics as well. I have a save with about 200 hrs in and build an ammunition factory, fully automated! Sadly some of my mods kinda broke the save, so I went ahead and got SS2 so that save file is super buggy. Anyways, that's 2 fallout communities I joined tonight, looking forward to posting here for sure as settlement building is the #1 thing that keeps me playing fo4!
Been playing fallout since, well the start, currently playing fo4 and 76. Looking forward to the tv show, but I have low expectations, its kinda hard to adapt the game to tv, but I'm willing to give it a shot. I'm kinda new to linux, however I seem to remember running a headless ububtu server years back. Also remember it took a long time to setup being my first headless server. So, to my current issues. I just installed mint on an old pc and just want to use it to run my security cams, store the files, and host my nas. Took me over 6 hours to get the raid setup properly, so much differing information on 'how to' for noobs like myself, but managed to get it working and moving files over to raid file now. Coming from mostly windows crap most of my life, its confusing where and how the raid is setup, and honestly I'm still not convinced I did it right, but everything I check says it is, and I'm sure it knows better than I do. Ok, now the issue, how in the ever lovin shit can I just share that stupid folder/disk to my network. 90% of the options are greyed out while looking at the properties tab, and need sudo access to change it, so whats the point in having the gui? Am I just dumb and smoked way too many doobies? Got samba installed, but not configured yet, only cause I ran across much more conflicting info, some said in mint its easy like windows...right click and share that shit, easy right? Even I didn't think so, and I'm ok with that, I'm really sick of windows and want to convert all the pc's but damn....stiff learning curve. Don't get me wrong, I ran DOS back in the day, and I was not bad at it, better than your normal user at the time but by no means a power user. So I should be able to grab the concept quickly, but I am failing. Total of 12 hrs on this now and considering just putting win7 back on this pig and giving up. I know no one can give me direct answers, and not looking for tech support, but looking for advice so im not wanting to 'hulk smash' this thing

A while ago I had asked everyone what their opinion on changing up the community here a little. Nothing major, but maybe drum up some other content. No shame to the regular posters, keep doing your thing, I am not trying to shut you out or even hint that I, or really anyone, objects to what you bring here. I do however have a couple ideas for 'theme days', and any ideas you have are welcome. I am not planning on turning every day into a theme, but was thinking of - Meme Monday, where meme's are not against the rules, as long as they are PC gaming related. I was also thinking of - Free Friday, so as long as its pc related, or gaming related, its ok to post. So if you want to ask about game suggestions, tech support, or something else in the off topic side, barring NSFW, ads, spam...etc, friday is the day. Now there are communities built around those I have suggested already out there, so if anyone feels like it would pollute our community, or have other objections, please let me know. If there is no real pushback, tomorrow will be set for our first free friday, lets see how it goes. I'm going to learn myself how to make/get a bot to auto post as reminders when it starts and ends seeing as we don't all live in the same timezone. Since I am in western Canada, and follow mountain time, for the *time* being, I'll use my timezone as the 'standard' for the theme days. this may change depending on how everyone feels.
