This would be preferable. There are some communities I follow over there I'd like to still have access too.

At least with jerboa you can turn off NSFW so you don't need to see it. Alternatively just stick to local or subscribed and you don't have to worry about seeing anything.

I don't really have this issue. I went through every community yesterday and joined every one I wanted to. I have my feed set to subscribed and new so it's always changing. I really suggest going through the community list.

You have to also remember there aren't the same amount of people on lemmy that are on reddit. It's going to take a minute for communities to grow and post more often.

I had an account on beehaw and once I saw the post I immediately created a new account on lemmy.world for the exact reason you described. I don't want to be cut off or told what I can and can't see.

I know. It's not hard to lie your way into their instance if you really wanted to or one that has criteria to join. I really don't think they know what they got themselves into with this decision because you're right, they put a huge target on their backs.
