People had concepts of different ethnicities and reasons for subjegating, persecuting, and enslaving them before race science was invented. Utterly ahistorical to believe otherwise
I never said people should not know the history and origins of white supremacism. What I am saying is people aren't going to give much of a shit about ending "racism" if you whittle it down to just "race science based persecution". They still want the persecution to end. If you get rid of the current ideological framework but don't address the underlying causes then another framework will re emerge.
This is an exercise in being able to relate to other people and not being an ivory tower pedant. If you told someone oppressed by racism that racism has ended but their oppression still remained they'll be perfectly justified to give you a beat down.

Yes race is totally artificial, and capitalism has invented an intense apparatus to justify it. But the belief in it and the economic forces that drive that belief will exist as long as there is inequality and scarcity. Communism would eliminate that but there are other systems than communism and capitalism. They just wouldn't be all pseudo scientific about it like the capitalists would.

This only makes sense if you define "racism" exclusively as "white supremacism". But you're not saying much at that point. You're just saying racism as we currently experience it is a product of capitalism. Which, duh, everything is.
Racism existed before capitalism and can exist after. Examples: the Caste System, the Khmer Rouge. Shit even Christopher Columbus was about as racist as you can get and that's right before capitalism kicks off. The Racialism you're describing is just the ideological petina that capitalists put on their pre-existing racism.

The main alternatives to Kodi are Jellyfin and Plex but I suspect those will have the same problem if your library isn't organized. How well are NOVA and Infuse handling your library? Like are they able to tell queue up the next episode of a TV show? Because Kodi is basically trying to be more like a local Netflix than "just a video player".
Jellyfin and Plex are web-based so you'll get a a far more consistent experience across devices than Kodi. But they'll generally expect Movies to be in one folder, TV shows in another, and will have some expectations of the file name. They won't open the file to figure out what movie it is.
I'm not old enough to remember. I known the basics of the armed struggle of the ANC, bantustans, Cuba in Angola, etc. But not enough to compare it to Israel today. My general suspicion is Israel is worse but the US is way more committed to backing Israel than it was apartheid South Africa. I'm mostly want to gauge how the anti-apartheid movement was going then compared to now. Any resources or personal experiences.

Most Lemmy instances and comms are strongly against Israel by now. The average .world account is calling Israel a terrorist nation for the latest attack. The Zionist holdouts are still there but always heavily downvoted. But then there's /c/NonCredibleDefense openly celebrating the attacks. Reposting reddit memes and shit. It looks like the first news of it [didn't go over well](https://lemmy.world/post/19925156?scrollToComments=true) (the average Ukraine supporter isnt pro-genocide either), so the mod "nuke" started forum sliding by posting a bunch of pager memes. Also those memes have a suspiciously high upvote to comment ratio. Anyways, not much of a dredge but its interesting to see conventional social media manipulation tactics at play here.

This person does not speak for the entire uncommitted movement. Many people participating will not be voting for Biden come November. And more importantly they won't be participating in any GotV campaigns for the general. There won't be any "heroic" GotV campaigns that carried Biden in 2020. I won't call it for Trump yet. He might not have any juice left in him either. But its going to be close. If Biden wants my vote he can show he has the strength to twist Bibi's arm. The longer he takes the harder he better twist. His October surprise better be a No Fly Zone over Palestine, '67 borders. Obviously, he won't. But if we can pretend he will I can pretend I'll vote for him. Asking thousands of activists to not just vote for genocide but actively campaign for it is more futile than harassing Biden.

I watched most of the South African case. You only need to watch the 10min-30min window where they just quote all their Israeli leaders making explicit calls for genocide.
