Can't wait to watch this. I missed out on the limited theatrical release. I wish it went to more theaters and had a longer run.

It's kind of a bummer as it's nice to have a more artistic representation of sex outside of porn which is more of a commodity. Movies can connect the sexy scenes to the non-sexy scenes which potentially makes them more powerful. Also, movies can tie moral value to sex which is interesting to explore.
I am in favor of sex in movies making a comeback, as long as it doesn't create problems for the actors.

Make sure to check if it actually ran from the cron job, cron is a finnicky tool

I use Borg Backup, automated with a bash script that Borg provides. A cron job runs the script at the desired frequency. I keep backups on different computers, ideally I would recommend one copy in the cloud and one copy on a local machine. Borg compresses and encrypts its backups.
Edit: I migrated a server once using the backups from this system and it worked great.

Love Inkscape, using it for 15+ years.
I sure hope they fixed the bug from the last version where it would crash if you had a drawing tablet plugged in while opening the app. That has been a huge nuisance for the last few months.

Ring 98 is such a great spooky film, it's a little scary but in kind of a fun, haunting way. I also love how it combines historical and technological elements together.

Like many GUIs it makes it so you don't have to remember and type a bunch of commands to carry out basic tasks. I especially find it convenient for checking logs. But no unique functionality compared to CLI. So it's a matter of preference.

If we're defining "text" as "SMS, MMS or RCS", Signal doesn't do that anymore. You can only send messages to other signal users. Signal is a great app but you won't be able to reach people with it unless you talk them into using it.

The shadow of the hand over the city reminded me of the scene in Faust (1926) where the devil is standing over the village.

I got so bored watching the first movie that I turned it off after like 40 min. The emotional core of the movie is so simplistic (they literally kill his puppy? Are you joking?) and the superficial plot elements with the coins and all the assassins and stuff is so overly complicated... I didn't think the action scenes were very engaging either. I would much rather watch The Bourne Identity.

I don't think there's a wrong way to enjoy stories, some people are keen on the "lore" and backstory while others are more interested in the larger scale story or the relationships between characters.
That extends to authors too, some of them put more emphasis on different aspects of their story which may appeal more to certain readers/viewers than others.

Aren't all the plot points you mentioned basically forgotten by the story itself in a few chapters? Once they start fighting devils and Denji meets all the other characters the plot becomes more about his relationships with those characters, and then about Makima's plans.

Using OSS in your product and giving the OSS devs resources to improve their software, instead of trying to take over their project? Did Valve not get the memo that big tech companies are supposed to be evil?? Oh right, they have a monopoly on video game distribution and all of their products rely on DRM.

Arch isn't unstable. Users mess it up by installing a bunch of random crap from the AUR or fiddling with system files.
SteamOS addresses this by making the root level filesystem immutable and guiding the user to install containerized (flatpak) apps.

Just share the information that other people need to know and don't share things they don't need to know. Most people on LinkedIn have a worksona anyway, they're not sharing their personal life much

I mocked up a better workflow for video in a mastodon mobile app. I'm not a developer, just a mobile user who wants to stay in their fedi app of choice (currently Moshidon) while enjoying multimedia content and not get booted out to a web browser every time I want to watch a video or listen to a podcast. I still have no idea how difficult or feasible it is to actually implement this concept. I think it's very important for fediverse mobile apps to support audio and video streaming to integrate with platforms like Peertube, Castopod, Bandwagon (once that gets going), etc.
