what do you mean by "biased"? Is what they are saying true or not? And if it isn't true what exactly isn't true about it. Have you ever written out anything to tell them what is incorrect about their position and correct about yours?

  • We have an idea to let in library editors. Getting a library editor account would be easier and give access only to library editing. Read inside.

If you look at the Palestinian resistance reading guide in our library there are no Marxists authors in those recommended books (although I'm not sure about Illan Pappe) which I am in the process of uploading to the library. ML is preferred but in the future (I'm the library maintainer for PW) I'm wanting a lot more study guides in our library and some of those sources will come from historian's who may not be ML but who have written really informative books about X like Illan Pappe on Zionist Entity or John Mearshiemer's book on Israel Lobby. Using that as an example of when non ML sources can still be helpful.

oof! the flatpack of FluffyChat is really not great. Can't make an account in it and when I tried to join rooms it wouldn't work. Element worked for all these things.

  • Hey folks, just posting to share that we're hosting a **Beginner Bookclub** over at the Decolonial Indigenous and Proletariat study group discord server!. It is made for beginners but anyone can join. **All of us attending it are MLs,** just like the server itself. Our meetings take place on **Saturdays at 4:30 PM EDT (UTC-4)**, and I'm the organizer. Additionally, we have Prolewiki members who attend, ready to answer questions and provide context during our reading sessions. Right now, we're digging into '**How Marxism Works' by Chris Harman**, which is super beginner-friendly. **We read during the sessions** so no need to read before. You can pretty much jump in at any point and follow along just fine. If we see more new faces joining us, we might even consider restarting the book! If your new/ish to communism we would love to see you. Here’s your invitation to join the server.📚 https://discord.gg/Wj3HnJAQ note: there are some questions to fill out to enter the server. Just fill them out the best you can and let them know your here for the bookclub

Hello, I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself and seek input from our community regarding a new feature we're considering implementing in the Prolewiki Library. I’m the new Library Maintainer for Prolewiki. My responsibilities are to fix any incomplete library works, make the library easy to navigate, collect feedback and analyze how you all use it to make it better. Essentially, I'm here to ensure that the library functions smoothly and is user-friendly. Lately at Prolewiki we have been exploring the idea of adding notes and introductions to the books, articles and other works in the library in the form of footnotes and an introduction paragraph. This serves a couple of purposes: firstly, it allows us to bring awareness to mistakes in the text, and secondly, it provides contextual information to deepen comprehension. This is **ONLY** about adding notes and introductions, we would **NOT** be removing or changing anything from works we upload like the MIA Does! With that in mind we have some questions we would like to ask to get feedback from you about this feature. **QUESTIONS** 1. Do you believe that having footnotes/introductions for corrections and context would enhance the overall quality of content in our library and make it more trustworthy? 2. Would you consider using Prolewiki more often for the same books and articles that you can also find on other websites if we provided helpful notes or introductions? 3. Do you think they should be used solely for corrections and context, or should they also allow for opinions and interpretations? 4. How concerned are you about potential abuse or misuse such as biased commentary or incorrect information? Would this possibility make you less likely to use our library? 5. Are there any specific examples of books, articles, or works in the library that you believe would greatly benefit from this feature at this time? Please provide some examples. 6. How do you think we could name the Prolewiki introduction paragraph to make it clear this is a ProleWiki addition? 7. What additional suggestions or concerns do you have about the implementation of this feature in our library? Thank you for your feedback comrades!!!
