Loose, poor fitting puzzle, needed to redo several sections (became very frustrating)

I was hoping to find a cheap Halloween puzzle and happy when this showed up for $6.99 as one of those special limited time sale prices on Amazon, it's not the best quality, similar to Master Pieces, but not bad for that price.
$6.99 Amazon (US)

Nothing made morning brake at work better than coffee with a good creme filled, chocolate cover donut
On edit, I guess it was custard filled, similar to that in an eclair, or creme puff, eclairs and creme puffs were too expensive and harder to get. I miss being able to eat sweet things
If I had known the Americana style puzzle supply would dry up at the local thrift shops, I would have kept more than I did for our personal collection. Americana puzzles are probably my favorite, and both Charley Wysocki and his brother Heronim created a lot of Americana artwork.

TCG licensed the picture 2017 . I suspect TCG made the puzzle for sale as a tourist item, the magnetic close box is really nice. TCG makes Sure Lox, and the puzzle seemed like a Sure Lox. I also found a Montpelier in Kodak puzzles, but their picture is cropped differently.
Click here... Box looks like Dowdle, but quality seems more like Sure-Lox, ![](https://lemm.ee/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Flemmy.world%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2Fcb3ad65e-381e-4507-830d-365a48200f66.jpeg) I could not find anything other than Kodak but picture does not match Kodak puzzles. ![](https://lemm.ee/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Flemmy.world%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2F786cb61f-c6b4-436c-ae23-882610f44629.jpeg)
Nice & easier than most
I could not resist this when Target had it on sale with 20% off, about $7.63 (US). The last time my wife and I went to a Drive In was many years ago, it was a little secluded with woods all around. The next morning we were covered with bug bites, bug bites everywhere.

I agree!
This is not the first time for this puzzle, it's a bit worn but I keep it because I like it

Nice picture!
On edit: We just trashed a used Sure-Lox we bought at a thrift shop, in addition to missing pieces far to many were mutilated, with the small thin section near the hole torn off. I can enjoy a puzzle with a few couple pieces but mutilated pieces that do not stay together is too frustrating. We did new Sure-Lox and they stayed together but fragile.!
This is part of our personal collection, well made, easy to see with big pieces. Great for anyone with limited eyesight and or dexterity. However not much of a challenge for those with a lot of experience doing puzzles. I ran out of "new to me" puzzles and this helped fill the void.

We do have many puzzles that we do more than once, but buy a lot from thrift stores and outlet stores, also check online . Amazon some times will sell puzzles for about $5.00 (US) with free shipping.

There are two older adults (retired). We do not usually work on the puzzles the same time but do share the same puzzle. At one time we had a different setup, using a 48" round table and we could work together, but now use a rectangular table with a bright shop light suspended over the puzzle for better light. My wife will do diamond art work if I am working on the puzzle. Without going into personal details, we are physically limited in the things we can do.

We usually mark the box "1 piece missing" but not on the picture. We bought many marked that way.

Thank you for sharing, very nice! It looks like a Thomas Kinkade painting called Courage, maybe Ceaco puzzle?

Great gift!
This is not the first time I worked on this puzzle..
I had to restart my island and keep it from progressing because I wanted this video. Last year I did not think of recording it, but this year I was prepared.
From the Currier & Ives Collection of the Museum of the City of New York (local thrift shop find)
