No idea what everyone is talking about. I don't see any circles. Is this just one of those "lets see how long these dumbasses will stare at a screen" jokes?

Just switch to Jerboa. You can do that there.

This is very interesting. Similar concept was behind Esperanto, but it was too complicated. Mini may be too simple though.

Brain is just a nerve bag that makes decisions.

While this statement is true, what is also true is that the brain is the only organ we're unable to fully understand, replace (as in through organ donation), and it's what makes us sentient. This is why Row v. Wade had a specific fetal age up until which abortion is permitted. That age coincided with the age at which the brain is developed and the fetus becomes a child which could be delivered. Most of the red-state laws are restricting abortion after the heartbeat can be detected.

All I am saying is that it makes perfect sense, from the biological point of view, why the heart is one of the first major organs to develop: it's main job is to deliver nutrient-rich blood to all other organs so that they can develop as well. But despite that, its not the heart that makes us human, it's the brain.

  • Discussion: What Android devices are you using?
  • peterg75 peterg75 1y ago 100%

    Using: Motorola Edge + 2022

Likes: Most of all price point. But more importantly what you get with it: wireless charging, 5G support, OLED, awesome battery life, Finger print sensor in the frame, decent camera, un-bloated OS, very useful gestures support. Honestly it's the best device I've used out of the box so far. Had Pixels and Samsung's in the past.

Dislikes: not many. Camera can be better especially in low light. Sometimes need to restart Bluetooth because it fails to connect to my watch.

Let's just agree that these states are also the places where the hypocrisy is the strongest.

Just look at the facts: These are the places where you have to preserve the life of a fetus just because you can hear a heartbeat (heart is just a muscle sack that acts as a pump, nothing else), but you can freely shoot your neighbor, a fully gestated human, who has stumbled onto your yard.

You have to remind parents not to have drunken sex with their children, but you cannot let LGBTQ people have a book store or a unisex bathroom.

  • Is having an Android really a deal-breaker for some people?
  • peterg75 peterg75 1y ago 100%

    Because:

    • I like the Android ecosystem
    • I like having a wide choice of devices
    • I do not like the "my way or the highway" approach to software/UX design
    • I like to be able to choose latest mobile tech without having to wait for it to be deemed "worthy" by one giant corp.

    Etc, etc, etc.

In US it's stupid trench warfare of blue vs green message. As an Android user I have had to explain MULTIPLE TIMES that this is not about Android's lack of capabilities but rather the unwillingness of Apple to use RSC. Almost always my explanation falls on deaf ears.

Pls Help me decide on the most cost effective phone when my biggest deciding factor is a nice camera but I'm not paying $800 for a dang phone
  • peterg75 peterg75 1y ago 100%

If camera is your main concern, any Pixel phone you can afford is probably your best bet. Having said this, I've personally switched to Motorola a while ago. Currently on Edge Plus 2022. I personally feel it's the best all-rounder out there for the price. At $400 it's got decent camera, good battery life, wireless charging and a great screen.
