Tell me you didn't read the article without telling me you didn't read the article. Shaken baby syndrome was fabricated by a handful of iffy doctors and has never been substantiated. Child abuse prosecutors have clung to it and propped it up because it makes for (inaccurate) open and shut convictions. Very few symptoms in the medical field are as cut and dry as what SBS claims is true.

Great looking army. Always loved the Vostroyan range. Wish there were more exotic guard regiments available. And the classic rough riders look great.

I love the Hellboy comics and i really didn't like the movie. Felt like a bunch of film students got hold of a Hellboy costume and slapped something together in their spare time. Maybe my expectations were too high, I didn't know it was a relatively low budget film going into it.

Two lawyers running for office using political attack ads are suing each other for content of political attack ads. I think this is fairly routine. If Dumbledore and Snape were fighting to be head master of Hogwarts, one would not be surprised if they both used magic.

Friendly reminder to any NC voters, Dan Bishop hates trans people and aligns himself with Mark Robinson, who is a certifiable piece of shit in every way possible. Please vote (for Stein and Jackson) if you want our state to be a decent place to live.

In my experience, if you make gravy in the same pan after making fried chicken, it's going to come out delicious, because chicken grease = delicious. So as long as you're frying chicken, then adding flour and milk to what's left in the pan and cooking it, it's going to taste good.

Step one to greener living, inherit a vast tract of farmland in a picturesque Norwegian fjord. Finally I know what I've been doing wrong all these years.

What is the question exactly? Why did the sauce come out okay? Were you expecting something different? What is 'curdling' as opposed to creamy?

As others have said, cooking flour, fat and milk is going to make the base for a creamy sauce (bechamel). The picture looks very thick. I may add a bit more milk to get it more creamy and less gluey. Some acid would also improve the taste, maybe a splash of vinegar.

I enjoy making sourdough, but I don't want to make it every week. I would like to make it maybe once a month if that. I don't like the hassle of feeding a starter constantly, it doesn't feel worth it when I'm only making sourdough every once in a while. Is there an alternative to maintaining a starter? I've tried throwing the starter in the fridge but I'm so lazy it just becomes a little cup of mold by the time I take it out two months later. Many thanks for your wisdom oh Bread Lemmies.

Browsing lemmy.world in a browser. I am on page 3 of my feed. I open a post, read it, and press the back button on the browser to return where I left off in the feed. However, instead of taking me back to where I was on page 3, the back button takes me somewhere on page 2. So Everytime I want to go back to the main feed from a post, I have to click back and then scroll to the bottom and click next page then scroll to find where I left off. How do I fix this? Thank you.
