"It's time to shout loudly that we won't allow Piraeus port to become a war springboard," read their statement uploaded on Facebook. "We fight for peace...no to Greece's participation in the war!"
Pictures uploaded later on the same Facebook page showed people carrying flares and slogans sprayed on a truck that read: "Murderers, get out of the port".
Hell yeah

Holy crap, you're right
However the request for the warrants must yet be approved by ICC judges.
They really need to speed things up...
Plus that means the US sanctioned the ICC for just requesting an arrest warrant

Doesn't he literally have one from the ICC? And the US Govt sanctioned the ICC over it rather than help enforce it?

Happens randomly for me recently too.
I'll go in and out of the post and it changes back and forth. Actually didn't notice at first.

My partner insisted on a gas stove despite my protests in our last two places because of the "control". The few times we used electric or induction cookers on vacation she would get really frustrated.
Cut to our current place that just came with an electric cooker with no option for gas. A few months in and she's got no complaints and even comments on how it's not that different once you get used to it.
The learning curve is real, and some people will push back at first, but if forced to, I'm pretty sure every single person can figure out cooking just as well with electric.

Didn't realize this was happening right now! Thanks for sharing.
Nice clean launch (so far 🤞), can't wait to see what kind of data it collects. Been hearing for years that Europa has the potential for life and stuff, wonder what Clipper will be able to tell us about that

I'm pretty sure it's a reference to the Tesla "robot" showed off at an event that turned out to just be a guy in a suit on top of the other things already mentioned by others.

Yeah, hard agree with what they're saying and like the fact that they're delaying prison architect 2 in light of that.
Lately and because some early access games have caught my eye, I've been thinking about how I don't have as much time for gaming and want the complete experience right away. If I play a game before it's fixed or before all the content is out, most likely I'll never play the game at it's best because I've moved on already.

I loved this poem as a teen but started feeling strongly conflicted about it ever since my grandma passed away. I watched her get pushed through treatment after treatment against her will. I vividly remember her biting the fingers of a relative who was trying to make her take pills. Near the end, she seemed so different from the person I knew, and she wasn't happy. To be fair, she lived well over a year past what the doctors said, but family around her were forcing her to fight harder and longer than she wanted. I still don't know what the right thing to do for her should have been, but I know how sad I felt seeing her so worn out and tired and I know how much I miss her.
Cancer is a bitch.

Does it actually? Genuinely want to know. I've been using Revanced since vanced stopped working and haven't seen a single ad but maybe that's because of other things I'm doing with my phone

It's not actually about dating. ::: spoiler spoiler It's actually a horror game hiding in a dating sim. Things get more and more bizarre as you play and discover one of the characters has become self aware, eventually involving the player needing to edit files on their computer and such to progress. Not revolutionary but was mind blowing at the time. The Game Grumps did a fun play through. :::

If I'm not sharing, I just drop them back into the bucket/bag. If I'm sharing, I'll just eat them. Recently though a bucket I was sharing had so many unpopped kernels I started worrying for my gut. Had me wondering how everyone else handles this. So how does everyone handle unpopped kernels?
Any recommendations for something like "Amusing Ourselves to Death" but written after the internet became mainstream? Something recently had me thinking about the book "Amusing Ourselves to Death" that made me want to give it a re-read, and as relevant as the main ideas still are for today, I wondered if there is a more recent book that is just as well received on the topic of society's addiction to amusement.
Nowadays I find a lot of games feel like too much work and/or anxiety when I just want to relax for like, 30 minutes to an hour after a long day. On the other hand, the games specifically designed to help you unwind just feel boring imo. In the past I've felt like Outer Wilds scratched this itch, cause the whole experience was engaging but generally relaxed. There was a mystery that kept me hooked and the exploration and movement was fun in and of itself. I also felt like Subnautica filled this role since it was very much at my own pace, with anxiety producing portions which could for the most part be avoided or minimized, and also there was a clear objective to fulfill, get off the planet. So what games do you play when you just wanna relax?
Complete Linux noob so apologies if anything I say or ask about sounds dumb. I want to start making the switch to Linux and I've got most things figured out I think. I plan on putting either Mint or Fedora on my old Surface Go gen 1 because it's not critical for my work and potentially losing some functionality there won't cause huge issues, but my main use of it right now is taking notes on Onenote that I can then view and edit from my other devices as well. Looking into Onenote and alternatives on Linux, I keep running into comments about the lack of handwriting support or no straightforward answers about stylus support. Anything Lemmy recommends I try? Also, any advice on running Linux on the Surface Go in general is welcome. Found some resources already but doesn't seem like people do this often.
