Hell yeah, I can get behind this. I can't comment on the O-Cedar as I can't get them here and information online is sparse, but the equivalent I get in Australia is made from cellulose and is biodegradable, apparently sadly not including the scourer (after some digging it's coated in polyurethane).

Protip: Don't get the scrub daddy, the O-Cedar Scrunge is the highest rated sponge by virtually every chef and test kitchen for a reason, it's non-scratching but has one of the best scourers ever and will clean stuff up like magic compared to some inferior brands.
If you're an Australian like me, you can get the Vileda Pur Active which is seemingly identical (I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same company).

The gravitational constant is famously hard to measure, so I can get behind this.

Oops my bad, I read the number wrong! That explains why I couldn't match up the windows properly, thanks!
I'm still learning the tram types, I don't get to ride them much sadly.

God I love our z-class b-class trams, shame about the accessibility issues but they've got a great vibe on the inside, so cosy.
Fantastic photo, it's beautiful in this lighting!

Look man, I'm just giving my opinion of how it looked to me, it's fine if you disagree. But you don't need to be a dick about it.
I don't know why you'd say I want to be asocial, I read the comic and it made me pretty uncomfortable, within the context of the game sure fair point, it's fine. But not everyone is going to see it that why, so I disagreed, I'm not whatever monster you've decided I am.

I feel like the difference is what you're preparing for, when I think of a prepper I'm thinking of people who are planning for an enormous society ending disaster.
I've also got a bug out bag, but it's just for general emergencies if I need to leave my place in a hurry very unexpectedly.

Good point, time to order some trans pride programming socks

But it's not, it's a comic with none of that context

Having looked at your other post about it and the original thread, nah they were pretty in the right to take it down. What was depicted in that comic is exactly the sort of thing I'd imagine when thinking of toxic masculinity, it makes me extremely uncomfortable to think about anything like that happening in real life as it very clearly depicts a form of sexual assault. I really don't like the idea that this is something people think should be normalised, sexual assault is more than just r*pe. It doesn't really matter if it's from a game, it's an entirely valid point and that's as far as the discussion should go.
That said, the "makes me want to shoot you" comment wasn't called for and they should apologise for it, even if they were trying to make some other point.

I've also got a degree in physics and I think it's a valid if kinda wonky use of the word study. They studied whether or not GR allowed this specific thing and that's enough to say it's physically possible. It's not just publishing an idea so much as proving the validity of it within current models, to me a study implies investigation of some kind and that's definitely what went on here.
I've definitely heard it used this way before, even if it is less common. I wouldn't say it's an unwritten rule so much just that people have learnt to infer that there's some direct observation going on.

I don't think his personal accomplishments really matter in the face of his support for the far right, crushing hatred of trans people, calling people pedophiles and the absurd amount of misinformation and bigotry that he promotes on xitter.

Didn't seem to doesn't necessarily mean it didn't happen, it can be difficult to quantify. Most people don't notice a lot of the constant large scale ecological devastation that does happen.
The real concern is that even if it was fine in one location, that can't reliably be assumed to be the case for other ecosystems. This issue is really complicated, we've acted hastily in the past and done some insane lasting damage so I'd say it's best to be careful.
All that said, even if I'm vegan and this whole thing makes me extremely uncomfortable, working to eradicate malaria is objectively good.

I'm reminded of the "vegan eggs" tiktok where someone didn't understand it meant eggs from chickens on a vegan diet. (To be fair that's pretty shady marketing)

I think this has gone beyond my point so I'll just state that I don't have any issue with requiring civility, I didn't intend to imply anything like that or to take issue with moderation in general, sorry.
I specifically take issue with moderation that minimises and denies an issue that I'm extremely passionate about, but that's it.
I don't disagree with your points on the socialist instances, I'm not a socialist and I'm not on those instances, mine is even defederated from hexbear.
My intention was just to point out that the conversation around this issue has, in my experience, been largely a case of ad hominem (as this post literally is) rather than any well meaning good faith discussion.

No, I said it's their fault for not getting elected, that's all. I didn't say anything about the democrats failing to do some policy thing...

I don't recall commenting on the behaviour of any of those users, I was trying to say that the "attack the ideas" line is basically ignored when .world users try to engage with leftists, I never said the socialists were perfect either, forgive me if I implied as much.
And yes, I do have a problem with mods using their power to suppress dissenting opinions in order to deny genocide, I think that's an entirely reasonable position for me to take.

I really don't get how people see shit like libs saying you have to vote for Harris or you'll get what's coming to you when Trump comes to power, as anything but voter intimidation.
If the Dems lose the election then that's squarely on them for not having good policy, it's up to them to win voters. How can you look upon someone rejecting genocide and hate them for it? How is that position so hard to understand?
For what it's worth I think people should vote Harris but I can't fault anyone for refusing to do so.
Imagine willingly posting pro-imperialist propaganda and thinking that makes you morally superior...
