  • Google Maps for Android rolling out much faster voice input powered by Assistant [Gallery]
  • ayyndrew ayyndrew 1y ago 100%

Yeah the issue isn't the voice recognition, from what I can tell that has only gotten better and is really great on my Pixel 6 Pro, it's how Assistant interprets the commands that has degraded

  • Al-Ettifaq greyed out all appearances of the rainbow armband in Henderson's announcement video
  • ayyndrew ayyndrew 1y ago 100%

If they wanted to highlight him being a captain, they would have greyed out everything else and kept the armband in colour, it's so obvious what they're doing.

  • ayyndrew ayyndrew 1y ago 100%

Oh you want to stop breeding animals into existence just to kill them? Teehee, based on my imposed dichotomy, support genocide!

  • Android phones can now tell you if there’s an AirTag following you
  • ayyndrew ayyndrew 1y ago 87%

Yeah, they aren't really useful for anti theft, but that's the compromise you have to make for safety

  • Android phones can now tell you if there’s an AirTag following you
  • ayyndrew ayyndrew 1y ago 83%

It can tell because the random guy's Airtag will be connected to his iPhone, it will only notify people if it isn't close to the owner's device

  • Seeing how good Lemmy is makes me frustrated with Mastodon
  • ayyndrew ayyndrew 1y ago 100%

My Mastodon search has never worked either, Lemmy is a much better Reddit alternative than Mastodon is a Twitter alternative

  • Report: Google is ‘considering’ a foldable Pixel tablet
  • ayyndrew ayyndrew 1y ago 100%

I am kind of surprised that there hasn't been a foldable Galaxy Tab or Galaxy Book yet

  • what are .webp files and why has my online experience been plagued by them?
  • ayyndrew ayyndrew 1y ago 100%

There's actually a transparent t at the end (as .webp supports transparency), making it pronounced "wept"

  • This is a more general federated social media question, but posts often have links to content on instances other than the one I have an account with. For example, [this post](https://lemmy.world/post/22239) has links to beehaw.org posts. When I click on them, I am unable to vote on or comment on anything, because I don't have an account on beehaw.org. Is there a Chrome extension or some other solution that would redirect these posts to my preferred lemmy instance?
