The same article talks about “They want a buffer zone to protect their viewscape and other proposed developments in the area, like new housing and a gas station.” So they don’t have a problem with other construction kicking up dust or using water — just the solar farm construction.

I hadn’t heard of that. I do know the US passed a law allowing restaurants to donate unused food at the end of the day without fear of lawsuits.
Also there’s a new app where restaurants can sell food at the end of the day at a discount rather than throwing it away called “too good to go”.
I’m lucky to live in a southern city where we have citywide composting as well. I wish more places would do that. It’s a waste to simply landfill food scraps when you could funnel it all to the farming industry as fertilizer.

I’m not sure though if the data is siloed from the rest of Safari on iOS. You could also try downloading a third party browser from the App Store and using it exclusively for Facebook.
I guess one way to test this would be to:
- log out of Facebook in Safari
- open the web app or other browser and log in
- switch back to Safari and see if you are still logged out
If so, then it’s more likely cookies, etc aren’t shared between the two.

So I know we can post text and images using the link button, but it would be nice to confirm what’s being pasted before uploading. A show clipboard, or a small preview of the clipboard would be nice. Currently when pasting an image into a Lemmy post, it only shows a Lemmy URL before committing, not the image. Kind of unnerving when you’re thinking “did I copy the right image for this post, or is it about to upload something I don’t want it to?”

Surprising. I didn’t think this one had much buzz. Also felt like a one season show.
So I had to pull up some huge rosemary plants in the front yard to have some plumbing work done. I noticed that the rosemary I’ve bought to replace it has completely different leaves. The old plant was more like an evergreen with oily needle-like leaves. The new plant has soft flat leaves but still smells like rosemary. Are these two plants actually related? Are they both edible? The “evergreen” One was fairly hearty and grew quickly. Will the other variety act the same?
